Alexis Aileen
Brokaw
Mar 10, 1952 — Apr 2, 2024
Yuma
Alexis "Lex" (Stevenson) Brokaw went to be with her Lord on April 2, 2024. She departed surrounded by family and friends at home. She was born March 10, 1952, in San Diego, California to the late Margret (Nutt) Sutherland and late Clayton Stevenson. Alexis is survived by her brothers Patrick Stevenson and Jason Dunn. She has two surviving children Tiffany and Brice Brokaw, and a niece Sarah Stevenson. Her four surviving grandchildren are Aden Brokaw, Ava Brokaw, Logan Gruben, and Xavier Gruben.
Alexis graduated from Yuma High School in 1970. She had many occupations throughout the years to include bartender, powerplant custodian, warehouse worker, to administrative assistant. She worked whatever job needed to provide. She often said "Put up or Shut up" meaning get to doing what needs to. Alexis was a cowgirl in her heart and loved caring for and riding horses.
Her greatest achievement was her lasting friendship and support of others. She would take the time to listen, support, and help when needed. Alexis was a fierce sister, mother, and friend. The loss of her from her loved ones' lives will be felt deeply. Be with the angels Alexis.
