Camren Turner
Valentine
Oct 18, 2005 — Jul 26, 2021
Yuma
Camren Turner Valentine, age 15, of Yuma, AZ, passed away while surrounded by his family and loved ones in the early hours of Monday, July 26, 2021. He was involved in an automobile collision in Millard Country, Utah that was triggered by an unforeseeable weather event.
Camren was born October 18, 2005, in Roseville, CA. After a text-book c-section birth, Camren came home to meet his older brother Corbin. As soon as Camren could hold his head up, Corbin wanted to play with him. It really all started the day Corbin shoved a Star Wars light saber in the bouncy chair next to Camren and they had their first battle. At the age of 3, Camren and his family moved to El Paso, TX where he attended Kindergarten thru 3 rd Grade. His family moved again at age 9 to Yuma, AZ where he was just about to begin his sophomore year at Gila Ridge High School. Camren was a friend to everyone, he accepted anyone the way they were. He was smart, talented and had a personal style that we all adored. Camren participated in various school activities including Robotics, Avid, Odyssey of the Mind, Honor Band and more. Camren was musically talented and could play several instruments including the Guitar, Bass and Piano. He enjoyed 90's style rock music and played in a garage band with several of his friends.
Camren was active in his church youth activities and enjoyed campouts, hikes and adventures with his friends. Camren enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his dad, his brother Corbin and his cousins and friends. Camren was always up for an adventure and was willing to go and try new things. Camren loved all things that were artistic, he made his own Star Wars helmets out of paper and glue, he built his own computer and understood the technical side of things. He was his mom's greatest help as she navigated thru online college courses. Camren had a special relationship with his little sister, he was always there to help her set up a video game or help her with school projects and didn't mind spending all of Moms money to help her try to win a stuffed animal from the claw machine.
Camren is survived by his parents Jody and Sheree (Holder) Valentine, his brother Corbin and his sister Savannah. Additionally, Camren is survived by his grandparents, Charles and Evelyn Valentine of Yuma, AZ and Ray and June Holder of Cedar City, UT. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Friday August 6, 2021, from 6 to 8:30pm at Sunset Vista Funeral Home, 11357 E 40th St, Yuma, AZ. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 10am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Foothills Ward Chapel, 8451 E 36th St, Yuma, AZ.
