"On Friday, October 28th, 2022, Carol Ann Campbell went on to her eternal reward. Carol was born at Fort Meade, Maryland at an Army hospital, on December 19th, 1933 to Leon and Lenora Roché. Her father was a private in the US Army at the time. In 1942, Carol was adopted by her stepfather, Myer Solomon and her name was changed at that time to: Carol Ann Solomon. In 1953 Carol enlisted in the United States Navy where she met her husband and father of her 2 children, Billy O. Boyer. Melissa Black (Boyer) was born in 1954 and Harold "Skip" (Karen) Owen Boyer was born in 1956. Both of them survive. She was Honorably Discharged from the US Navy in 1954.

In 1992, Carol became a widow when her husband Art Campbell died, they were married for almost 20 years.

Carol was also a grandmother to 5 grandchildren: Shane (Amy) Boyer, Berkeley Springs WV., Brooke (Jared) Keplinger, Goshen IN, Isaiah (Chloe) Boyer, Ozark MO, Deborah (Ryan) Wofford, Heartland TX and Bethany (Rawn) Toler, Lamar MO. She loved getting mail and pictures from them all and kept a lot of the mementos that they sent her. Carol was also the great-grandmother of 17 wonderful great grandchildren and she thought of them often.

Carol and her husband Art moved to Yuma, Arizona and settled there after Art's retirement. She was known and loved by many and had an enormous amount of friends, far too many to list. One special friend though, needs to be mentioned, Pilar Veloso who Carol called her "Hispanic daughter". There was no one on earth that Carol couldn't strike up a conversation with and she never met someone she didn't seem to know well after just a short time. She will be missed."
