Obituary

Carol Deloris Campbell, age 80, of Bell County, KY and Claiborne County, TN passed away on 09/04/2022 in the home of her daughter from natural causes.

Born December 3, 1942 in Bell County, KY, Carol was the daughter of Doug Hoskins, Sr. And Lavada Rosenbalm. Carol was raised in Bell County by her father, the late Doug Hoskins, Sr and her stepmother, the late Dolly Hoskins. Carol graduated from Bell County High School and obtained a Master's Degree from Lincoln Memorial University. Carol was a devoted program director for the Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum and received numerous awards and recognitions for her activities to promote education and tourism for the Tri-state area before she retired. Carol was also co-founder of the Cumberland Mountain Craft Guild, where she proudly sought tradition craftsman to teach their crafts to those in the area. Carol's quilts have been displayed in facilities such as Berra College,  the Museum of Appalachia, and the KY State Capital Rotunda.

Carol is survived by her daughters Kim (Tom "Mutt") Decker and Janie "Nikki" Allen (Aaron Jackson), her grandsons Bradley and Thomas, and many friends and extended family.  Carol had wished for only a small private burial at the Hoskins family cemetery and since she valued education so dearly, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Heritage Christian Academy in Tazewell, TN to assist with scholarships costs for the elementary children.
