He was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Jake Poland and Kathy Hayes. They moved to the Long Beach, CA area when he was about a year old.

He has lived in Yuma the last 25 years. During his time in Yuma he worked for Texaco, Chevron and spent many years working for Val's Liquor Store.

He loved to go fishing and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his mother, Kathy Hayes of Yuma, his brother Val Poland of Yuma, his children Shannon Yancey, Cyndi Calvillo, Eva Rangel, Bridget Poland, Jacqueline Poland and Chad Poland. Also survived by his grandchildren Lexy, Hailey, Anthony, Breahna, Avery, Keira, Avigail, Isabelle, Roxy and Zoe.

He was preceded in death by his father Rev J. E. Poland in April 2017 and his brother James Poland, in 2007.

His memorial service will be held on Friday the 21st at 11am at Sunset Vista Funeral Home
