Obituary

CLAUDINE KAY VOURNAZOS, 80, passed away peacefully in her home on March 10 th after a long battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Michael, her 3 children -Kimberly Griest of Yuma, Sean Michael of Melbourne, Australia, and Christopher of Richmond, Indiana - as well as 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Born and raised on a little town on the Ohio River she and her husband left Ohio and moved to Yuma Foothills to retire in 2003. She was a Christian and her excellent singing voice allowed her to sing as a soloist in several churches before moving to Yuma. Before retirement, she was a Paramedic serving in the Fire Service for 12 years and as a Squadron Medical Officer in Civil Air Patrol for 6 years.

She enjoyed motor home travel and, with her husband, visited all the continental states except North Dakota and Alaska.  She was a doll collector and often brought home a new doll after a trip.

She was a good wife and mother, and we will miss her -a lot.
