Obituary

Connie Ray Brown (1948-2024)

Connie Brown died peacefully in her sleep at YRMC on 30 September 2024. She was born in Rural, Florida on 21 November 1948 to Arthur Ziebell and Alice Petermann.

She lived in the Yuma Foothills and worked many years for the federal government including MCAS and Fish and Wildlife.  She enjoyed the desert and being outdoors and would take long drives in her car every morning just to look around. In her younger days she would hike Telegraph Pass with friends.  She was a devout Christian and loved the Lord with all her heart.  She was a lover of animals and donated to several animal charities and to organizations to feed the hungry here in Yuma.  She was eccentric and passionate and spent her last years helping neighbors with doctors' appointments and their animals.  She was a loving, giving and caring person and will be missed by many. Connie did not wish to have funeral services.
