Dale Ira Merritt
March 13, 1943-April 5, 2024

Dale was born in Renton, WA to parents Everett and Dorothy Merritt. When
he was three years old they moved to Republic, WA where his mother was
a nurse at the local hospital and his dad worked in the logging industry.
Logging would become Dale's lifetime career. He married Patty Cass in
1964 and together they raised five children. In 2008 he remarried to Judy
Hughes and they had sixteen wonderful years together.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Dorothy Merritt. He
is survived by his wife, Judy Merritt of Yuma, Arizona, daughters, Lessie
Miller (Charlie Berquist), Anna Brown (Eli) and Charlie Lynn Merritt (Tim
Murphy) all of Spokane WA, his sons, Nick Merritt (Sheri Lynn) of Miles
City, Montana, Matthew Merritt (Makayla) of Salem, Oregon, stepson Larry
Vodder (Sherry), his sisters, Sandy Roberts (Geoff) of Wenatchee, WA and
Julie Merritt of Republic, WA. He also is survived by 16 grandchildren, 16
great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
