Obituary

Diane G. Millmaker-Myers (Rinehart), 68, of Yuma, AZ passed away surrounded by her loving family.

Diane was born in Charleston, WV on July 16, 1954, to her wonderful parents, Clifford, and Helen Rinehart. Diane began her life's adventures as a military brat, with her father in the military traveling the world abroad and spending time in Ethiopia and North Africa. Time would eventually lead her and her family to Europe during the height of the Cold War, where as a teenager attending Frankfurt American High School, she would meet the first love of her life, Mel Millmaker. Diane eventually ended up going back to the states where she married her first love at Yuma Proving Ground Chapel. Diane became Mrs. Diane Millmaker and began another new adventure, becoming an Army wife (The Toughest Job in the Army) and a new mother to Christopher. This chapter would lead Diane on endless adventures across Europe and Eastern bloc countries. Diane would eventually settle into a dental career, fostered by her dedication and volunteer work at the Local Army dental clinic. Diane managed a family and career and maintained a loving marriage for 32 years. After their active-duty time ended, Diane and Mel settled in Yuma, AZ, and continued their careers. Unfortunately, Mel's health issues caused his time with Diane and his son to end. His passing caused her adventurous life to be sent into a whirlwind and somehow, she managed to meet the second love of her life, Chip Myers. The two of them meeting had to be fate because they began life together helping each other with very tumultuous events and then building a fun-filled life together. Their time was spent dancing, traveling, and most of all devoting time to each other and friends and family.

As the dust never seemed to settle in Diane's life, she lost her second husband to the destructive disease, ALS.

In her true fashion, Diane chose to take her last big adventure on her own terms. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her son and loving sisters one year to the day that she lost her second husband, Chip. Their passing on the same day exactly one year apart is no coincidence. Diane always knew how to make an entrance but this time she chose to make her exit just as exciting and go off on another adventure.

Diane had a way of welcoming all that she encountered into her home and life without hesitation. She has been such an important part of so many people's lives through the many adventures in her life. Diane will be missed greatly.

Diane was preceded in death by her first husband, Mel Millmaker, second husband, Chip Myers, parents, Clifford and Helen Rinehart, and Brother Mike Rinehart.

Diane is survived by her son, Christopher (Maddy) Millmaker, and grandchildren, Sheridan, Shane, Mirai, and Hanna. Sisters, Ann (Bill) Ogram, and Kay (Manny) Villaneda.  Nephew, Garrett Ogram, Nieces, Niki Reschar, Katlyn Ogram, Amanda Villaneda, and Leslie Villaneda.
