Eugene R.
Holt
Apr 25, 1941 — Nov 16, 2023
Eugene R Holt
West Jordan, Utah
Passed away from natural causes on November 16, 2023, in his beloved winter home in Yuma, AZ. Gene was born to Leo R. & Dorothy Burrows Holt on April 25, 1941. Gene served in the US Navy aboard the USS Evans DE-1023, as a radioman. He was married to the love of his life Gloria Fernandez on May 8th 1964. A super human to his family, he always worked to provide in every aspect of the word. His entire life was dedicated to showing his kids, grandkids, and friends what is required to be a person who left this world in a better place than it was. Gene's dedication, not only to his family but to the friends he met along the way, created a steadfast understanding of his personal motto which is simply; "Never lie, cheat, or steal." These three things he developed earnestly, knowing no one is perfect, however, how you proceed helps define your life.
Gene was preceded in death by his most precious son Jason, who taught all of his siblings compassion. Dad had an eternal love for Jason that would show to be endearing and never ending. Preceded in death by his wife, our mom, Gloria. Her positive inspiration of life will always be remembered. His brother Thomas also preceded him in death.
Survived by Kaye Broadhead, she was loved by him and there for him. Sons: Sean R Holt (Terri), Daren H. Crowe (Cecily), Franklin R. Holt (Anna) Grandkids: Tyler, Jennifer, Alexandrea, Madison, Gavin, Trinide, Quincy, and Isaac. Great grandson Asher. Sister Ray. Brothers Gordon and Donald.
At his time of death, Dad asked to be cremated and his ashes scattered on High Mountain.
We will have a Celebration of Life for Gene at his son's home on Saturday, November 25th between 5-7pm:
