Obituary

Floyd was born in Middleton, Ohio and grew up in Riverside, California. He enlisted into the United States Army from 1967-1970 where he earned a Purple Heart in the Vietnam War. He was a very proud Veteran and was also a very proud truck driver for 45 years. He lived his last 25 years of life in Yuma, Arizona where he was surrounded by his wife and most of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The one thing that was so memorable about Floyd was that when he met you he became your friend, and you his.

He leaves behind his wife Sandy of 37 years - they met on a blind date set up by his nephew Billy and his soon to be step son Brent.

Floyd is survived by his Wife Sandy, his six grown children; Alisa Schoonover, James Pierce, George (Tom) Stevens, Brent Stevens, Eric Stevens, and Sindy Stevens. His fifteen grandchildren; Krystal, Cassandra, Jimmy, Brittney, Joshua, Hayley W., Hannah, Andrew, Brent Jr., Sandra, Hayley P., Cody, Daniel, Bubba George, and Amanda. His seven great grandchildren; Alyssa, Kayeleigh, Jack, Connor, Abri, Braden, and Norah. And so many loving, rowdy friends.

This is so Floyd An angel whispered, take my hand and come with me your work here is done - I know you'll grieve and wish I was here. I am here in the memories you hold dear.

Happy trails to you until we meet again
