Gene Willis Miller was born September 19, 1938 to John W. and Lorene Miller. He grew up in Tulare, California, and was one of 11 children. Gene spent 20+ years in the Army, retiring at Ft. After retiring from Service, Gene went into the trucking industry and eventually retired from the Teamsters Union. His love of traveling never waned, and Gene traveled extensively with Joyce, visiting family and friends until Parkinson's made them settle. That was in Yuma, AZ Gene and Joyce were active in several Fraternity's. The Elks Lodge and the VFW knew them well, as Gene was and Joyce is a life member of both. He was very close to all of Joyce's sons (Dale, Jay, Scott, Todd, Ross and Brett), and adopted Ross and Brett to raise as his own. He never failed to come to the rescue when asked, no matter what time of day or night. He was a true friend and mentor to those in his life and will never be forgotten by those whose lives he touched. Gene passed away September 1, 2022.
