Obituary

Georgia Louise Crenshaw passed away at her home in Yuma, Arizona, on April 3, 2026, a few
months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She was 90 years old.
Georgia was born in Thermopolis, Wyoming, in 1935, the eldest of three daughters born to
George and Mary Morford. At the age of 10, she moved with her family to Richmond,
California, where she later graduated from Richmond Union High School. Georgia was known
for her fun-loving personality, quick wit, and remarkable ability to turn ordinary moments into
cherished memories.
A devoted mother and steadfast source of encouragement, Georgia found her greatest joy in the
happiness and accomplishments of her children. Her love for her family was deep and enduring,
matched only by the love she shared with her beloved husband, Walter Crenshaw, who preceded
her in death.
Georgia was also preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Morford, and her sisters,
Norma Black and Rosetta Manning-Biddle. The sisters shared a close and loving bond, and their
memories together remained a treasured part of Georgia's life.
A woman of strong principles and generous spirit, Georgia supported many causes throughout
her life. She was a lifelong advocate for the Humane Society and Planned Parenthood and
contributed to numerous charitable organizations. Her compassion, kindness, and concern for
others reflected the values she carried throughout her life. Her favorite color was green, a detail
her children lovingly teased her about for many years.
Georgia is survived by her daughter, Teri (Claude) Mills; sons, Tom (Ann) Michener and David
Michener; grandsons, Jason (Hillary) Schilling, Nathan Schilling, and Benjamin Michener;
granddaughters, Carmen Michener, Chantel Smith, and Elizabeth Michener; great-grandsons,
Brandon Schilling, Noah Schilling, Drew Schilling, and Chael Schilling; and greatgranddaughter,
Willow Schilling.
Georgia's absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her humor, generosity, resilience, and
love will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her. As her family mourns her passing,
they also celebrate a life beautifully lived and a legacy that continues through the many lives she
touched.
