Obituary

On December 14, 2022, Jacqueline Renee Davis peacefully and painlessly lost her lengthy battle with COPD. A fighter to the end, she lived long enough to spend her final days with her son Michael and the apple of her eye, her grandson Brenden.

Born in Troyes, France on February 6, 1941, Jackie emigrated to the United States in 1963 with her baby boy and husband. Two years later, being left alone with her son and knowing just a little bit of English, she didn't choose the easy way and return to France.

She stayed in the Untied States ad built a life. She remarried (Frank Davis) and moved to Ohio with her new husband and son. She worked odd jobs until they purchased a business. This eventually led to her starting her own tailoring business, which she ran successfully for 20 years until she retired to Yuma, Arizona in 2003.

Jackie was curious — an avid reader, she always wanted to know the how and why things work. She was always open to new ideas. She had a varied taste in music, comedy, and literature. She had a laugh that everyone love to hear and brought a sense of style and class to every room she walked into.

She was loyal to her friends and her son Michael's friends considered her to be their 'second mom.'

She leaves behind family and friends who love and will miss her, cherished memories and artwork that gave us insight into her view of the world.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Renee Leclere, her older sister Nicole, 5 siblings who died early in life, and her beloved dogs Shane, Dakar, and Beara.

In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a donation to Pet Smart Charities in her name to provide assistance to her favorite animals, dogs.
