Bryan's step-Dad, Jon, passed away Saturday morning.  He was a devoted, supportive, loving husband, father, grandfather.
Some of my friends will appreciate this - Purdue grad.

Retired Boeing test-flight engineer & a founder of SFTE "Society of Flight Test Engineers" for which he was made of fellow at their 50th anniversary celebration . He had TONS of great stories.

In his younger years he loved wine.  They had an amazing wine cellar in their Bellevue home, and named their yacht Opus.  We had a lot of good times on that boat.  They retired to Yuma.  I would describe Jon as quiet, yet humble and super smart.  He became Dad to Bryan during those tough adolescent/teen years.  Bryan did not make it easy for him.  I believe Jon was the Dad Bryan needed since that time.  It was difficult, but they grew to have a deep love and respect for each other.  They had many L O N G conversations about all kinds of topics.  Caleb and Megan also had  some great times with him, learning about his life, memories they will cherish.
