Joseph John Coufal, 77, of Yuma, AZ passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023. Son of Ed and Helen Coufal, Oneill Nee. Formerly of Stuart, NE. Attended high school at St. Joseph's Military Academy in Hays, KS. A Vietnam Veteran, former member of the BPO Elks, American Legion, Veteran of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Moose Lodge.

He enjoyed a 20 year career in the Bar and Restaurant field before entering a 40 year career with Security and Law Enforcement at Yuma Proving Ground, Yuma, AZ.

He is survived by his Son, Joey of the home in Yuma; and Daughter, Janet Luckenbill (Jim) of Tucson, AZ; three sisters, Rev. Dr. Lorraine Coufal of Omaha, Connie Ramold Myers (Chuck) of West Plains, MO, and Maureen Proksel (Bill) of Bennington, NE; Step-Children: Lacy Madsen of Lake Havava, AZ, Michael Lorona (Jennifer) of Peru, IN, Kristen Norris (Mark) of Casa Grande, AZ, Mark Lorona (Paula) Phoenix, AZ.

A Funeral Ceremony is schedule for 9:00 am Friday, August 25, 2023 at Sunset Vista Funeral Home. Graveside and Military Honors to follow at Sunset Vista Cemetery.
