Lacey Marie Smith passed into eternal life on September 8th, 2024.

She was born on April 24th, 1983 in Phoenix, Arizona to the parents of Paul and Rose Grode.

Lacey had an infectious laugh and a heart of gold and was always ready to lend a hand or share a story. She was caring, kind, energetic and vivacious, filled with life and love and an unselfish need to care for everyone she knew, earning her the love and respect of her peers and her numerous friends and family. Although Lacey is now lost to us, she left behind an everlasting legacy for all of us who she has touched and loved, guaranteeing that she will live forever in our hearts and minds.

She dedicated her life to helping seniors and ensuring they had a place to live and were being properly taken care of. Her gentle touch and unweaving dedication to her job brought solace to countless lives.

She is survived by her father Paul Grode, mother Rose Grode, brother Kyle Grode (Ashley Grode), sister Kody Grode (Jordan Simpson), brother John Tackett, nieces Brooklyn Simpson, Syriah Simpson, Cameron Grode, and nephews Hunter Simpson and Lincoln Grode.

Her spirit will live on in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held at Sunset Vista Funeral Home on Saturday October 5th, 2024 at 1030am-12pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Yuma Walk to End Alzheimer's in her honor.
