Obituary

Mark D. O'Clair,  67, Yuma AZ. formerly Tolley ND died Thursday August 31, 2023 in Yuma AZ.

Mark was born December 12, 1955 to Alvin and Arliene (Bryant) O'Clair in Kenmare ND. He was welcomed home by his 4 older brothers. Mark was very determined as a child and forged his own path. He preferred to help around the house rather than hunt and fish with his brothers. In 1970 Mark was involved in a serious car/snowmobile accident that landed him in the hospital for over a month. That would result in the loss of his leg later in life. Mark worked hard and gained his GED and a degree in Culinary Arts. He was head chef at the Legion Club in Tioga, the Northern Lights Supper Club in Sherwood and the Lakeshore Supper Club. When his parents started snow birding to AZ they convinced Mark to go with and he decided to stay and make his home there. He made a career working for Walgreens Drug and retired from there in 2016. He would come back to ND only in the summer and still complain about how cold it was there.

Mark is survived by his two dogs, Charlie and Buzzer, his brothers Rodney (Mary) O'Clair  Jamestown ND, R.Dean (Beckie) O'Clair Tolley, ND, Michael O'Clair Mohall, ND and sister Diana (Paul) Krause Sherwood, ND. Six nieces,  Angie Allmer, Maggie Sahr, Cindy Fedorowicz, Holly LaGrande, Ashley Ueckert and Becky Martin. Eight grand nieces and nephews, Adam, Alison, Jennifer, Thomas, Gustin, Elise, Braelyn, and Easton. Three great grand nephews, Eliot, Stanley and Porter. Numerous cousins. He was proceeded in death by pet dog, Turbo, his parents Alvin (Mike) O'Clair and Arliene O'Clair,  Step Mother Ramona O'Clair and brother Richard O'Clair.

A memorial service will be held September 30, 2023 at the Tolley Fire Hall Tolley, ND. Cremation has taken place with arrangements by Sunset Vista Funeral Home. Interment at McKinney Cemetery, Rural Tolley, ND
