Mary Lou Perry, beloved wife and mother, passed away in the late evening on Monday, October 3 ^rd , 2022 at her home in Yuma, Arizona. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Lou Kressaty. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Michael, their children, Lynda (Brett), Jon (Danielle), 4 grandchildren, 2 brothers, nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Mary Lou was born July 22, 1944 in Patterson, New Jersey, where she lived most of her childhood, until she attended college.

She was a devoted Catholic. Family came first.  She loved and cared for her family, was a military spouse for almost two decades, and still found time to pursue her passion of teaching.  She received a BA in Mathematics from Annhurst College and a MS in Education from National University  She started her teaching career in Stonington, Connecticut, but spent the most of her time in Yuma at Crane Junior High, Cibola High School and and retired at Yuma High School. She was a proponent for doing what was right by the students and staff of each institution's halls she graced.

There was nothing over the last 20 years that brought her more joy than her grandchildren. She loved and cherished each one of them.  In her last two weeks she spent many hours with her children and husband, having great conversations, reliving wonderful memories, and expressing love and admiration.

Services will be held on November 3 ^rd , 2022 @ 10:30am at St. John's Catholic Church in the Foothills.  The family wishes in lieu of sending flowers please consider donating to St. John's Catholic Church or Hospice of Yuma.
