Mavis Arlene
Knight
Dec 8, 1931 — Jul 5, 2026
Mavis Arlene Knight was born December 8th, 1931 in Bimidji MN. She was born to Roy Lehman and Agnes Winge, she was the oldest of 5 children, siblings were Lowell Lehman, Roger Lehman, Gordie Lehman and Gene Lehman.
Mavis is survived by her husband Dennis Knight, Iggy her beloved puppy, daughters Kristen (Mike) McMillan, Marla (Mark) Van Lienden, daughter in law Kathy (Eric) Wilson, step children Wayne Humphry, Angie Olalde, Denny Knight and Shane (Jacquline) Knight. Brothers Roger (Bonnie) Lehman, and Gordie (Sandy) Lehman. Sister in Law Wilma (Lowell) Lehman. As well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Mavis is preceded in death with her parents Roy and Agnes, brothers Gene (Anna) Lehman and Lowell Lehman, her son Eric Wilson and daughter Trina Faielo, as well as a few grandchildren.
Mavis passed away on July 5th, 2026 in Yuma, AZ, at the age of 94, surrounded by love and probably if we are being honest, still hunting for the next great bargain.
Long before she became a legendary gardener, square dancer, synchronized swimmer, water skier, and a professional garage sale enthusiast. Mavis was voted "Miss Daisy Mae in her high school years." While that crown may have been ceremonial , the confidence behind it was real. Anybody that knew her learned quickly, if she wanted something, she'd get it!
She married John (Jack) Maurice Wilson and together they built a life with four wonderful children (Eric, Trina, Kristen and Marla). After Jack passed away she faced life with the kind of strength only a woman like her could summon-steady, brave and determined not to let grief be her final chapter.
She married Dennis Knight in 1983, he was a devoted and loving husband, they were married for 43 years. He cherished Mavis deeply and remained faithfully by her side until her passing, creating a lifetime of shared memories rooted in commitment and affection. With quiet strength and steady devotion, he showed what it means to love one person wholeheartedly. Though life brought its complexities, his enduring love for Mavis and the bonds they shared for more than four decades stood as a true testament to his loyal heart.
