Maxine
Ordway
Mar 7, 1943 — Dec 17, 2025
Maxine Hatfield Ordway was born March 7, 1943, in Valley Creek, TN, to Claiborne and Nancy Hatfield. She was the oldest of ten children. She passed away on December 17, 2025, in Yuma, AZ.
Maxine passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of strength, perseverance, and devotion to family. She was a hard worker in every sense of the word—someone who never gave up, no matter the challenge. Her determination and resilience were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Maxine genuinely loved life and embraced it with a full heart. Above all, she cherished her family, who were the center of her world. She also found great joy in bowling, playing bingo and dining at the casinos with friends. Pastimes that brought her happiness, laughter, and a strong sense of community. Her favorite activity was traveling back to Tennessee to see family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, twin daughters Donna and Sandra, brothers: Lon, Claiborne Jr., and Speed Lloyd and sisters: Lillie Jewel, and Anna Mae.
She is survived by her husband, Mark, of the home, sister Susan Carolyn, sister-in-law Brenda and brothers Clyde Wayne, Bobby and K.C., beloved Aunt Martha Evans, of Tennessee. Also surviving are her daughter Tammy Schoen (Derk) of Yuma, three granddaughters and one grandson: Tanatha Lockhart, Breana Bogaards, Amber Bellavia
(Jason), and Dustin Schoen (Korryn), Ten great-grandchildren. She will be loved, missed and cherished by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Maxine will be deeply missed, but her strength, love, and unwavering spirit will live on through her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Her wishes were to be cremated and returned to the Hatfield Family Cemetery in Valley Creek for her final resting place. No services are planned.
