Melvin Ray Phillips (75) known to his friends as Mel

Passed away on February 17, 2022 in Yuma, AZ. Born June 22, 1946 in San Jose, CA to Kenneth Carl Phillips and Carol Phillips.

He was raised in the Santa Cruz, CA area and attended High School in Watsonville, CA. Mel joined the military as a Navy Seabees and was in active duty from 1965 to 1967 in Vietnam & Japan.

Mel met and married his wife Donna in the Visalia, CA  and lived there until moving to Yuma in 1998.

Mel was the youngest of three sons. Kenneth Dean, the oldest, proceeded him in death. Lester Wayne, the middle, resides in Visalia, CA
