It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Miguel Veliz, who left us on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the age of 42, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 11, 1982, in El Fuerte, Sinaloa; Miguel later made his home in Yuma, Arizona, where he built a life filled with love, hard work, and dedication to his family.

Miguel was a taper by trade, known for his skill, ambition, and relentless work ethic. He took immense pride in his craft and always strived to be the best at what he did. But beyond his career, Miguel will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving son, and a caring father to his three children.

Throughout his life, Miguel always put others first. Even when facing his own struggles, he remained a source of warmth and generosity to those in need. Above all else, he was a giving person, teaching those around him the true meaning of care and compassion. He had a unique way of bringing light into every room and making those around him feel seen, valued, and loved. Even in his darkest moments, he never lost his ability to make others laugh.

As we reflect on Miguel's life, we see a man full of dreams, ambition, and a deep love for his family and friends. He leaves us with not only countless cherished memories but also a lasting impact on our hearts. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of kindness, resilience, and laughter will live on forever.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with Rosary at 7:00pm at Sunset Vista Funeral Home, 11357 E 40th Street Yuma, AZ 85367

Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 10:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1815 S 8th Ave, Yuma, AZ 85364.

Con gran tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Miguel Veliz, quien nos dejó el miércoles 12 de marzo de 2025, a la edad de 42 años, después de una breve pero valiente batalla contra el cáncer. Nació el 11 de mayo de 1982 en El Fuerte, Sinaloa, y más tarde hizo su hogar en Yuma, Arizona, donde construyó una vida llena de amor, esfuerzo y dedicación a su familia.

Miguel fue teipero de profesión, reconocido por su habilidad, ambición y fuerte ética de trabajo. Se enorgullecía de su oficio y siempre se esforzaba por ser el mejor en lo que hacía. Pero más allá de su carrera, Miguel será recordado como un esposo devoto, un hijo amoroso y un padre cariñoso para sus tres hijos.

A lo largo de su vida, Miguel siempre puso a los demás primero. Incluso al enfrentar sus propias dificultades, fue una fuente de calidez y generosidad para quienes lo necesitaban. Sobre todo, fue una persona generosa que enseñó a quienes lo rodeaban el verdadero significado del cuidado y la compasión. Tenía una forma única de iluminar cada habitación y hacer que quienes lo rodeaban se sintieran vistos, valorados y amados. Incluso en sus momentos más difíciles, nunca perdió su capacidad de hacer reír a los demás.

Al reflexionar sobre la vida de Miguel, vemos a un hombre lleno de sueños, ambición y un amor profundo por su familia y amigos. Nos deja no solo con innumerables recuerdos preciados, sino también con un impacto duradero en nuestros corazones. Aunque ya no esté físicamente con nosotros, su legado de bondad, resiliencia y alegría vivirá para siempre.

La Misa funebre sera el dia Jueves, 20 de Marzo de 2025 a las 10:30am en la Iglecia Catolica St. Francis of Assisi, 1815 S 8th Ave, Yuma, AZ 85364.

Miguel será profundamente extrañado, pero nunca olvidado. Que descanse en paz.
