Obituary

Paul Gregory Sanger, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away on August 4, 2026, at the age of 74 surrounded by his family. Paul was born on May 13, 1952, in Santa Monica, California, to Kenneth and Agnes Sanger, who preceded him in death. He earned a master's degree in Public Administration from Long Beach University and went on to enjoy a successful 39-year career in the aerospace industry, working in both California and Arizona. While Paul took great pride in his career, the greatest joy of his life was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who treasured the time he spent with those he loved. Paul had a lifelong love of history, reading, writing, movies, and travel. He loved animals and enjoyed the companionship of his pets. His Catholic faith was also an important part of his life, and he generously gave his time in service to his church. Those who knew Paul will remember his kindness, cheerful spirit, and wonderful ability to bring a smile to those around him. He enjoyed conversation, sharing stories, and finding ways to brighten someone's day. His warmth and good humor made people feel welcome, and his presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Margie; their four children and spouses, Nicole and Robert Goekler, Vicky Sanger, Ken and Heidi Sanger, and Brian Sanger; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his brother, Chris; and his sister, Judy. Paul leaves behind a family who loved him deeply, countless memories that will continue to bring smiles, and a legacy of kindness, faith, and love that will live on through those whose lives he touched.

A Rosary and Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church in Scottsdale, Arizona.

May Paul rest in the peace of Christ, and may his memory remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
