Petra Macias de Nunez, born on October 19, 1944, in Mechoacanejo, Jalisco, Mexico, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, in Yuma, Arizona. She was 81 years old.

Petra's life was one of resilience, devotion, and deep family love. Born in the heart of Jalisco, but was raised in San Luis, Sonora-Mexico where she carried with her the rich traditions and enduring spirit of her homeland throughout her life. Her journey eventually brought her to the United States, where she built a home filled with warmth and care.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pablo Enrique Nunez. Together they shared a life rooted in commitment and family values.

Petra leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: sons Enrique (Henry), Miguel (Mike), Ricardo (Richard), and Roberto (Bobby); and daughters Graciela (Gracie), Leticia (Letty), and Susan (Suzie). Her family continued to grow through the generations—she was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren who will carry forward her memory and the values she instilled.

Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her and serve as a lasting reminder of a life well lived.
