Richard "Dick" Vest died peacefully in Yuma, AZ on October 16, 2014, after a courageous 9-year battle with Parkinson's Disease and dementia. He was born April 3, 1940 in Kansas City, MO. Dick was preceded in death by his father, Oral Vest; mother, Caroline Vest; and sister, Marilyn Sue (Vest) Wear. Dick was loved by all for his sense of humor and love for camping, skiing, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. Dick is survived by Patsy, his wife of 55 1/2 years and his children Rick (Sherri) Vest and their sons Cory and Brendan Vest; Scott Vest; Tim Vest and his children Zack and Haedyn Vest and Patty (Steve) Stellmacher. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held at the family home on Tuesday, October 21st at 1:00pm. Interment will be at the Oregon Trail Veteran's Cemetery in Casper, WY at a later date. Memorials may be made to Kindred Homes or Hospice Compassus of Yuma, AZ.
