RITA HOLLOWAY RINEHART-09/26/1936 to 02/20/2022

Rita Holloway Rinehart passed away at her home in Wellton, Arizona surrounded by her family in the early evening hours of Sunday, February 20, 2022.  She was 85 years old. Rita was born on September 26, 1936 in Harbor Grace Newfoundland, Labrador Canada where at 17 years old she met and married her husband Raymond Allen Rinehart.  Rita was proceeded in death by her husband, Raymond.

Rita had many hobbies which included sewing, crocheting, knitting, baking and cooking.  One of the things she got the greatest pleasure from was creating gifts for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her home was the hub for her family as she hosted many holiday celebrations and family get-togethers.  She was very active in the local VFW Post 6790 and managed a restaurant in Wellton before retiring.

Rita is survived by her daughter Robin Rinehart (Lester Janes), her son Roger Rinehart (Carol), both of Wellton, AZ; surviving siblings sister Lorraine Holloway Hibbs; brothers Francis and James Holloway of Harbor Grace Newfoundland, Canada. Six grandchildren: Roger Rinehart, Jr., Phoenix AZ.; Julian Rinehart (Dusty), Wellton AZ; Verna and Haley Rinehart, Yuma AZ.; Charlie (Anita) Jim, Maricopa AZ.; Christina Jim Cass, Americanfork UT, Michael Cass, Lehi UT, three additional grandchildren Jeremy, Jake and Jennifer (Carol) as well as 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who lived a full life. The Sunset Vista Funeral Home is handling arrangements, and a celebration mass will be held at St. Johns Newman Parish, both in the Yuma Foothills.  Date and time To be posted on social media when arrangements are finalized.
