Roald Fosse went to his final resting place to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 26, 2022, at the age of 90. He was born in Mason City, Iowa on February 20, 1932, to Andreas (Andrew) J. Fosse and Bertha Amanda Furness.

His father immigrated from Bergen, Norway in 1912. His mother's parents also came from Norway in the late 1800s. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1950.

Roald joined the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic at Westover AFB, Massachusetts he was discharged April 1955 and was in the Air Force Reserve for 4 more years.  Roald lived in Manhattan Beach, CA for many years.  In the 1970s he moved to Yuma Arizona where owned and operated Yuma Refrigeration Supplies.

Roald had several hobbies. He was an amateur geologist and loved to spend time in the desert and mountains collecting unusual rocks to make jewelry and art with. He even owned his own gold mine. He also enjoyed antiquing, playing poker with friends and going to the movies. He was known by his family and friends to have a huge sense of humor and teased a lot. He was a member of the Gloria de Cristo Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his wife (Lee), his parents, his sisters, Myrna Adams, and Adele Comstock. He is survived by one brother, Marlin (Lucille) Fosse of Mason City, along with a nephew, nieces and great nieces and nephews.

A service will be Saturday August 13, 2022 at Sunset Vista Funeral Home at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society for research.
