Robert "Bobby"  Long, 79 years old, born September 20 ^th , 1943 of Yuma was promoted to Glory February 17 ^th, 2023.

Bobby was born on September 20 ^th , 1943 to Alma Leroy Long and Mother Ruth Ethel Long-Nelson in Puyallup, Washington. After Bobby graduated from Puyallup High School in 1961 he went to work for Boeing from November of 1961 until his retirement in February of 2002.   During his career at Boeing Bobby, served two years active duty and 2 years reserve duty in the United States Army as a cook. He was stationed at  Ft Leonard wood Missouri and Germany. He loved to talk about his time spent traveling Europe to friends and family alike.

In 1985 Bobby met Patricia Jo Carrick "PJ", at a mutual friend's wedding, and all their friends insisted they should meet. They were married on June 28 ^th 1986. Bobby and PJ Never had children together biologically, but Bobby adopted Frances Anne Long and became a father figure to Alison Lynn. Tragically, Frani went to be with the Lord January 23 , 2015. In 2002 Bobby retired and spent his time fishing in Westport Washington and started snow birding in 2009 to Yuma Arizona. Bobby found a job bell ringing in Yuma with The Salvation Army and after two years, Bobby and PJ became full time volunteer bell ringers through Christmas. They made their permanent home in the foothills of Yuma in 2018. Bobby never met a stranger, he loved to be with people.

Bobby was predeceased by his brothers Donald, Richard, and Glenn. He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia, his daughter Alison, four grandsons, Jordan, Austin, Alexzander and Ivan along with two great-great grandchildren Caitlin and Laytham and he had many nieces and nephews, who he had a vital role in their upbringing.

Celebration Of Life will be held at Sunset Vista on March 17th at 11am, gravesite service to follow.
