Obituary

Scott Owen Hill, 72, of Yuma, AZ, peacefully passed away on May 14, 2026. He was born on February 1, 1954, in Denver, Colorado.

Scott led a simple but meaningful life dedicated to hard work, family, adventure, and knowledge. He started working at a young age at Safeway where he later retired over twenty years later. Soon after, he moved from Colorado to Arizona where he found an exciting and challenging career as an Engineer Specialist working with and maintaining artillery systems for TRAX. He thrived as the man, behind the man, behind the gun.

Outside of work, Scott loved and cherished his family. Survived by his wife, JuliAnn; his children, Adam and Lori; stepchildren, Randal and Molly; his six extraordinary grandchildren; and his sister Anita. Scott was reunited in heaven with his parents, and stepdaughter Laura.

Creating memories during family vacations across the US and internationally, quality time was never in short supply. Nothing made him prouder than seeing his kids accomplish their goals and dreams. He always beamed with great joy. Our family rock.

Scott was a scholar in his own way; he knew a little about everything. Whatever the question, he would always have an answer and the patience to educate. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Scott will be remembered for his strong love of family, his curiosity about the world, his steady presence through every challenge and as a man who lived a meaningful life built on hard work and devotion.

Scott will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
