Stanley Edgar Foster, 83 years old was born March 27, 1933 to Clifford & Eva Foster in Creston, IA. He attended elementary school in Eagle, CO; Pryor, OK and McCook, NE. He graduated from McCook High School and later attended McCook Junior College and the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He became employed by th Bureau of Reclamation in 1959 at the McCook office. In 1965 he took a transfer to Blythe, CA, working out of the Cibola Field office near Palo Verde, CA. He took on a 2nd job teaching Engineering Drafting and Surveying at Palo Verde College in Blythe. In 1972, he was moved to the Bureau office in Yuma, AZ which was then located at MCAS and later moved to the newly constructed desalting plant. He retired in January of 1991.

Stanley is survived by Esther, is wife of 59 years and also 4 sons; Ronald (wife Joyce) of Phoenix, AZ; James (wife Desi) of Yuma, AZ; Mark (wife Shannon) St. Louis, MO and Jeffrey of Memphis, TN. Six grandchildren, Rachael Knight (Husband T.J); Jennifer Foster; Jarrath Foster; Makenna Foster; Shayden Foster & Trace Foster. Two great granddaughters, Eden & Lorien Knight. A sister, Gay Myscofski of Boise, ID and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was loved and adored by all.

After his retirement, Stan spent many hours in his workshop where he built some beautiful furniture. For many years he was a Harley rider. He and Esther traveled on their Harley & saw a good portion of our beautiful country.

He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church serving in various areas. He loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and now he has gone to rest in the Savior's Arms.

Public viewing will be Friday, February 10 from 6pm-8pm at Sunset Vista Funeral Home, 11357 E. 40th Street (Foothills).

Funeral service will be held at 10am, February 13 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 11201 E. 38th Place (Foothills).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shepherd of the Hills.
