William Lansing Sheets, 88, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in Yuma, AZ. Born April 6, 1926 in Ohio, raised in Nebraska, and then Colorado where he met and married Evelyn Sheets. He adopted and gave his name to her four children, Eddie Lee, Sherry Nanette (Sawdey), Dianna Sue (Helart), and Donald Blaine Sheets. William was preceded in death by his parents, Halley and Carrie Sheets; brother, Warren Sheets; and his long time companion and wife, Evelyn Sheets. He is survived by his four children; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Services will be held in private for the family. Friends and family are welcome to the reception at his home on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 2:00pm. to 4:00pm.
